approached- if you approached something, you moved towards it.
energetic- If you are energetic, you are filled with energy.
pace- Your pace is how fast you are going.
blunder- If you make a blunder, you make a bad or silly mistake.
reassure- If you reassure someone, you tell him or her that everything will be alright!
excel- If you excel at something, you are very good at it.

Fall fun!!

We had a little fall fun On Monday and here are a few pictures.  Be on the look out for information about our Thanksgiving day feast.  They will be sent home on Monday.  Thank you all for sending in items to make our fall celebration fun!!

Bat pumpkins!!!

Since we are studying bats this week, I decided to have them make bat pumpkins.  They were really excited to get them.

Pep Rally!!!

The pep rally was so much fun.  The kids were dancing and really had team spirit. The fall festival is this Thursday night and I look forward to seeing you all there.  Remember there is no school on Friday or Monday.  Enjoy the long weekend!!!

End of September

We are coming to the end of September and wow have we learned a lot!!  Right now we are working on nouns and writing a paragraphs.  In math we are working on subtraction strategies and in science we will start weather next week. 

The Fall festival is coming up and we are all excited.  I hope to see everyone there.  Along with that thank you all for the supprt this year.  We are off to a great start!!

Interviewing- asking questions

This week we are learning about asking questions.  So today we interviewed each other and then shared with the class what we learned about our partner.  They had fun and really started to open up with one another.

Our First Day of School!

First Full Week of School

Well we made it!  It was a great first full week of first grade.  The students are adjusting well and we are finally settling into our routine.  Be on the look out for new pictures in the next few weeks. I look forward to sharing our classroom experiences with you and hope that you will be able to follow this blog on a regular basis.
